At Pickens Middle School, our primary goal is to keep all of our students safe. In order to do this, we maintain the following procedures for morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up: 

Morning

All students should be dropped off at the front door. Only bus riders should be dropped off in the bus area. Students are allowed in the building at 7:30 am and should report to the cafeteria. Breakfast is served in the cafeteria beginning at 7:30 am. Any student who wishes to eat may report there first and then to their designated area.

Afternoon

ALL students must be picked up by 3:30 PM. Adult supervision of car riders ends at 3:30 PM. Students who are not involved in a school-sponsored activity after 3:30 PM may not remain on campus. If you cannot pick up your child by this time, please arrange to have him or her ride the bus home.

Walker passes are issued to students so that they may walk down the sidewalk parallel to the bus area (towards Jewel Street) and be picked up off campus after school. Students may NOT walk down the hill towards Jones Avenue on the north side of the school.

To obtain a pass, students should pick up a form from the receptionist and have a parent or guardian sign and return the form to the school. Passes are stapled in the front of the agenda and are required for students to leave campus.

Replacement passes cost $1.
